Eighty Mile Beach

eighty-mile-beach-north

Eighty Mile Beach is located 365km southwest of Broome and is accessible via 10km of gravel road off the Great Northern Highway. This stunning stretch of coastline with its crisp white sand and clear sparkling water is a fisherman’s oasis offering pure fishing opportunities and relaxation. What more could you ask for along remote coastline such as this?

eighty-mile-beach-south This great stopover between Broome and Port Hedland gives you the chance to unwind and enjoy the carefree environment and of course the excellent fishing along the coast. Pristine beaches stretch for miles here and high tide is the best time to pull in a Mulloway, Threadfin Salmon or Bluenose Salmon off the beach. These fine fish are the eighty mile’s prize catches targeted by most anglers.

Regardless of whether the fish are biting to your liking or not, there are always the stunning sunsets and sunrises, which are so treasured over this side of the country. Imagine rising first thing in the morning to a burst of colour on a secluded beach and then watching the sun retire in all its glory at the day’s end, well you can do both here in this piece of coastal paradise.

The beachfront caravan park here has plenty of shady powered and unpowered camping sites, self contained and fully equipped cabins, as well as air-conditioned rooms. The mini supermarket is open 7 days a week and there are two camp kitchens with fridges and freezers, fresh water, free gas barbecues, a fish cleaning station, laundry facilities, chemical toilet dump point, TV room and internet access all available for your convenience. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted at this beach.

The Eighty Mile really is a relaxing beachside location in a quiet part of the Kimberley region. All you have to think about here is setting up camp, wetting a line, wetting your whistle and of course wetting your swimsuit. All accomplished on a pristine beach where everyone here has the same idea as you!
